EAP700 Wall Jack Access Point
The EAP700 Wall Jack Access Point is an in-the-wall Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11b/g AP, designed to blend with any office or home interior architecture or furnishings effortlessly. The compact EAP700 in a small form factor lays snug in a standard wall outlet box, and hides the wall cutout with its faceplate. Its front panel features LED status indicators and a RJ45 wall jack.
It has the interfaces to serve both wireless and wired LAN access. The simplistic yet chic design of EAP700 allows it to blend into a working or a living environment practically and elegantly. By utilizing PoE, EAP700 comes with an advantage of running fewer cables in the duct. The Power over Ethernet (PoE) LAN port on the EAP700 serves as the power feed as well as the wired network feed. Optionally, it can also be powered via an AC adapter when PoE switch is not available.

Standalone, EAP700 is an easy-to-install and cost-effective solution for most of indoor wireless deployments, including hotel rooms, apartments, offices, classrooms, libraries, private homes, public kiosks, etc. When working under one of 4ipnet Controllers, the combined network turns into an intelligent building solution, a managed internet service, or a Wi-Fi hotspot network of various scales. Multi-pack is available at lower cost to contractors/builders for larger deployments.
Features & Benefits
Hidden in-the-wall behind faceplate, blending well into most of interior/architectural designs
Clean and stylish look. The main unit fits in a standard size outlet box, hidden behind the wall-jack faceplate.
The faceplate is a two-piece design, slide-able for adjusting the depth of the portion that goes in-the-wall, and for covering the mistakes around the cut-out hole.
Easy to install, fewer cables to run, flexible power feed options, meeting building codes
The IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) eliminates the need for power sockets, allowing installation of this device in areas where power outlets are not readily available to improve deployment flexibility.
Using a single CAT5e cable feed both power and Ethernet data. Optional AC power feed is available.
High speed interface and QoS/WMM support, ideal for voice, video, and data applications
Equipped with a powerful, high-speed IEEE 802.11b/g wireless interface and hidden 2.4GHz antenna.
With the additional QoS/WMM support, EAP700 is ideal for converged voice, video, and data applications.
Connections for both wireless and wired clients
Keep the style of a simple LAN wall jack while being able to serve both LAN and WLAN devices.
Support business-class WLAN security, multiple-SSID, and VLAN tagging
Advanced security options: 64/128/152 bits WEP, WPA/WPA2 with IEEE 802.1X or PSK (Pre-Shared Key).
Support multiple ESSIDs and VLAN tagging.
MAC ACL list & RADIUS client support for filtering out unauthorized wireless clients.
Flexible deployment – standalone, or managed in an intelligent building solution
Stand-alone, EAP700 is a full AP (without router), normally chained from a modem router to service clients.
WDS links can be established to bridge other APs for extending WLAN coverage.
Supports client isolation, important in a hotspot or hospitality environment.
When managed under a 4ipnet Controller, such as the WHG-series, the combination has been pre-integrated to provide solutions for many applications.
